Yachts · Connectivity
Starlink on board is easy. Reliable internet at anchor is not.
A Starlink dish alone doesn't make a yacht connected. Owners expect video calls at anchor, guests expect streaming, crew need their own network — and everything must keep working when the view of the sky is blocked or the yacht crosses into another country's coverage. We design the whole system, supplier-neutral.
Book a confidential briefingThe problem
Single link, single failure
When the only link drops — a mast in the way, a software update, a congested cell — the whole yacht is offline.
Guests and crew compete with the owner
Without traffic priorities, a crew member's download slows down the owner's board meeting.
Coverage surprises
5G roaming and satellite coverage change between countries and anchorages. Plans made at the yard rarely match the actual cruising grounds.
Our approach
How we connect a yacht
- Coverage analysis for your actual cruising area
- Multi-link design: Starlink, 5G/LTE with external antennas, VSAT where it pays off
- Automatic failover or bonding between links
- Separate, prioritised networks for owner, guests and crew
- Wi-Fi design for decks, interiors and the beach club
- Acceptance test before your season starts
Questions
Is Starlink enough for a superyacht?
As one link, often yes; as the only link, rarely. We combine it with 5G and — depending on your cruising area — VSAT, so a blocked view or an outage doesn't take the yacht offline.
Can you supply the Starlink hardware?
Yes. We select, supply and install the hardware — Starlink, 5G and, where needed, VSAT — and set up the plans in your name. If you prefer to buy yourself, we specify and accept delivery.
Can you plan for the Balearics, the Côte d'Azur and the Adriatic?
Yes. We plan coverage for the waters you actually cruise, including 5G roaming between countries.
